Officers down in Dallas

Was watching the protest on Fox News when it happened. Heard the shots and watched the people run. Ugly. Hope the cops are okay. They`re now reporting 3-6 cops were shot.
 
Fox in Dallas reporting that at least 3 officers have been shot and possibly up to 6. Unreal what is happening in this country.
 
Update: One suspect is in custody. Another, possibly in a bulletproof vest & tactical gear, is at large. #Dallas #Dallaspoliceshooting
 
One officer is a DART(Dallas Area Rapid Transport)officer, other one(possibly two)are believed to be DPD. This is from watching NBC news here in DFW
 
According to protesters that were present and reporters, the protest was peaceful and the shooter(s) weren`t really marching with protesters. SWAT team negotiator is speaking with suspects

According to my sources at Parkland Hospital, they have 6 officers there that have been shot and sad to report one has passed.
 
DART confirms four of their officers were wounded, 1 deceased
Separately I`ve seen that Baylor is being used in addition to Parkland for hospitalization
 
Dallas police chief:
2 snipers shot ten officers from elevated ground, 3 deceased, 2 in surgery, 3 in critical condition. no suspects in custody

I just don`t get the thought process....several cops that had nothing to do with the shootings were just murdered. want did that solve
