THERUSE

New member
what manufacturer uses the ppg ceramiclear paint? if you know the models that would be great too.

after experiencing it first hand on a benz there is no way i'm going back to any other kind.

It's not the Base (paint) but the Clear Coat that is Ceramic (as the name suggests).

You would have to look up on PPG's Website who's factories they are supplying or look up which vehicle manufacturers offer it.

Dupont, Spies Hecker, Glausrit, all of them now have a line of Scratch Resistant Clear Coats. Not sure how they compare (or if they are the one in the same) as the Ceramic Clear that PPG sells.

in case some of you are interested in the reply i recieved, here it is.

"Thank you for your interest in PPG Automotive Refinish Paints. There may be

other manufacturers that use ceramiclear, however the only manufacturer that we

have approval on is Mercedes.
