OCW on Optiseal how long to "flash"

Usually I just wait until the next time I wash the car to either add more Opti-Seal or use OCW over it. But when dealing with a paying customer's vehicle, 1 hour works.

I can actually have the car until Monday but am going to try to get most of it done today. I got the buffer out and started testing to see what method I am going to need to use. It's a 2011 camaro red jewel tintcoat. Weird thing is that it seems to have single stage paint on it. I started buffing the hood and my pads are turning red. I didn't think they would have used a single stage on a newer color other than a white or possibly black.

<span style="color:#008000;">Tintcoat is a tinted clear coat layer.  So it does react similar to single stage paint with the color transfer on the pad.

Interesting. Never heard of that actually. I know dupont offers that in a bc/cc while RM Diamont is a tri stage. Never thought of them actually tinting the clear.
