I don't mind the snow nearly as much as all the salt and sand the county uses to maintain the roads.

October is just too darn early to start this. Fortunately, I prepped my cars early this year. I also got the snowblower ready and here is a tip: I spray the auger and chute with Meguiar's UQW / D156 and the snow doesn't stick, even heavy wet slush slides right out. It also works well on the exterior of the machine too but this year I also applied ULW to it. Bring it on!!!

Winter... Bah, Humbug! Where is that Global Warming when you need it. ;)

Exactly. They "pre-treat" the roads here whenever there is a chance of snow, no matter how small. I'm guessing the more chemicals they use, the more kickbacks they get....

I am doing pre-winter details on my fleet and may have to turn the heat on in the garage to get the wax to dry. :(

I turned on the heater in my shop for the first time this season last night as well. :(

At some point within the next couple days I'm planning to pull the snow blowers out of storage and get them up and running too :tape:

We got hit HARD. The snow was so heavy all I heard all night was trees breaking and falling all over the place. My 1/4 mile long driveway has about 20 trees and huge branches laying across it. Power lines are down everywhere, I don't know how we didn't lose power at my house. I can't get out to go to the shop and see how bad it is over there. It was a very scary drive home last night, every tree branch looked like it was ready to fall on top of my car as I was driving. I saw at least 3 big branches come down close to me and take out power lines as I was driving. From what I see on Facebook it's like a war zone with all the damage. This is the most damage I have ever seen from snow.

I came home from NY to find the neighbors tree on my car. The tree split right in half and half fell on my car the other half on his. I got lucky with the damage, maybe 7-10 hailsized dents and a new rear bumper. So anyone knows of a good paintless dent guy in eastern pa let me know.
