NXT = really good at hiding scratches

...you all know the drill. Open your hymnals to page 63 and join me for all four verses of How Great NXT Art.

I ordered NXT because of the results posted on filling/hiding scratches with no other surface prep,

not for its smell, durability, sharpie-cleaning ability, or layerability.

I tried it last night on a dark blue car that had received three coats of zaino Z5/Z2 last November and

had nothing but a lot of touchless washes since (winter!).

I was very impressed with the scratch-hiding ability of NXT. I won't comment on anything else until I have

tried it a number of times on all three of my cars.

So far so good though.

Oh yeah, removal was very easy even at ~50F.

I did a quick application with the foam app included with the NXT.

I plan a full PC with SMR or DACP followed by NXT detail, but I'm not there yet.

I see the other posts that say the scratch-filling abilities are not so great, so uh, your mileage may vary I guess.

This may have been addressed before, but who has applied NXT over AIO? Is AIO a good choice?

I have only applied carnauba or SG over AIO.

Thanks.

Since this has very little to do with the original topic of this thread, you're better off posting a whole new thread about this or use the Search feature to see if anyone else has brought this up before.

Ever hear of a forum term called "hijacking"? ;)

I'd like to know how long before the swirls reappear...

Mine has been touchless washed twice, QD'd 5-6 times and has sat out and driven in the rain one full day, its still hiding the swirls well, I'd say 95% as well as when it was first applied.

^^thanks GnD for sharing your observation. The first time I used NXT, I noticed the spider web reappeared after two days of light rains. After checking the weather forecast (7 days, no rain...WOOHOO!), I went ahead and washed the car and reapply NXT wax. My observation: NXT really shines and 'minimizes' spider web...I will keep track and see how long the "look" lasts.
