NXT on neighbor's Mazda Tribute

My neighbor wanted me to wash/wax and clean the interior of his car. I don't have any good before pics because they were too dark, so I won't post them...just a wheel pic. I washed, dried, cleaned the interior, dressed tires/wheel-wells, and applied NXT with my PC and a finishing pad, and buffed off a half hour later. Here's a picture of the front wheel...disgusting!

Other side...it won't let me attach it, so I put it in my Autopia gallery.

What did you use to get the wheels back to new?? I have never let my wheels go that far (not even close!!!!), so I have no idea how to clean wheels that are that far gone. My uncle asked me how to clean his wheels (very similar wheels on a Tacoma), which were about that far gone, and I just shrugged.

I used a soft wheel brush from walmart (wont scratch a CD) and castrol wheel cleaner...sprayed it on, let it sit for 30 seconds, scrubbed, rinsed.

Hmm, I tried a similar method with BF Tire and Wheel Cleaner. I let it sit, and scrubbed like crazy and the stuff did not budge, I guess I need something more severe.

Looks great, NXT seems to give some of the best shine. Too bad it only last maybe 2 weeks :) I have found that if you put Meguairs #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax over NXT it lasts.... Dupont Teflon Wheel cleaner does really well on wheels too. I got some caked on stuff off in no time with it.
