Northeast Weather....Get nice already!

My car is clean. As long as I don't take it out of the garage it's clean! :D



I'm just glad that I took full advantage of all the nice weather we had in the first 3 weeks of May and got it all cleaned up then. I spent 3 afternoons detailing the daily ride and now it looks like I never touched it. :sosad Between the pollen and the rain it's a mess. :(



Plus, I need to clean the work truck. We had nicer weather in March then we are having right now. Looks like pretty decent weather for the weekend but the long range forecast isn't good.



Seems this happens every year. March and April are nice and things go downhill in May. I don't recall May and early June ever being really nice. People come flocking here on Memorial Day weekend and freeze their butts off thinking it's 4th of July weekend. IMO the really good weather doesn't start until July.
 
I find this fuzzy stuff on the car but I really don't know what it is and the rain makes hideous stains. It's said that on Memorial. north-eastern Jersey will stop raining. Not that rain is bad since we all need it but too much is boring.
 
We had light rain showers this morning, then the sun ( yes, that big bright thing in the sky!) made an appearance. We were doing a trench rescue refresher at the firehouse for my duty group.. at least we stayed dry!
 
We had a beautiful day today. Blue, blue sky, sunny and 75 degrees. Of course I was working..:sosad



Then I got off work, it got cloudy and by 6 pm it was threatening rain. :rolleyes:



Hopefully tomorrow will be nice as I want to wash the daily ride and finish up some detailing on the other car. :rolleyes:
 
What a terrible day today!



I woke up to birds chirping and a cloudless blue sky in the morning. Should I wash the cars today?



By lunch, I look out the window of the restaurant we're eating at. Clouds are gathering with the slightest glimpse/hope of sun. What now?



4-o-clock arrives and a light shower comes followed by the sunny sky again. Good god, is it going to rain or not?



6-o-clock. The highlight of my Saturday. Thunder roared loudly and it poured. Just plain poured. Which leads me to my next question. How come the Camry with 3-weeks-old of NXT and an inch-thick of dirt barely bead the water?



7. The bright, yellow orb is coming towards the horizon. Blue skies appear again and that pinkish, yellow tint starts to appear.



Midnight, EST- I'm off to bed.

Outside of that splash yesterday, the weather was awesome! I made a few bucks washing 2 cars and a trailer today - used the cash to buy a Father's Day gift (get it done early). Tomorrow, Memorial Day, the family cars will all get washed.

I'm happy to say that I was able to wash the cars today. Got to put some ColorX & NXT on the Camry. Still wonder why the car barely beaded yesterday. Must have been the dirt.



Washed the Sienna too. Going to QD the car tomorrow and add some booster wax.



What a nice day! For a change!
 
Weather has been nice. It's actually warm too! I'll bet all the beach goers are thrilled. :p



Yesterday started out really nice but they were predicting late day showers so I decided to do some work on the car in the garage rather than have it get caught in a thundershower while on jackstands. Sure enough the wind picked up and was blowing pollen and debris all over the place so I was glad to be in the garage. I still had to use the CCD several times since the doors were open! :hairpull Then it rained at about 6pm.



Today was much better. Beautiful, sunny day so of course I detailed the family car. I had put a coat of NXT on it a few weeks back only to be rained on while still waxing it. :angry Now after last week's rain it was filthy and not beading much so I washed, clayed and applied a fresh coat of NXT on and it's looking good! :xyxthumbs



Tomorrow I'm going to go to the beach and watch the tourists pack up and go home. :D
