Noob website, opinion needed

So I built a website about a month ago and didn't have the time to share it here.

Let me know what you think.

Built using iWeb 09'. For some reason, Internet Explorer 8 users will experience some problems viewing it. Only Firefox works best.

Anson - website looks great!

My suggestion would be play around with the fonts on your pages to give it a cleaner look.

One thing I did notice when using the common questions link in FF, is when you click one of the FAQ...the header on top disappears.

Glanced quickly at it, not a bad page at all for what I assume is your first. However, there's some text alignment issues and for some reason your logo on the home page shows itself 3 times in a row.

You mention that IE 8 users might experience problems and only Firefox works perfectly. Honestly, with realistically less than 20% of internet users using Firefox, and the majority using IE, I'd make 100% sure that your site looks perfect in IE rather than Firefox. Just my opinion.

You definitely need IE7 and IE8 compatibility. IE6 too preferably, but it is understandable if you don't want to bother with it. Firefox should be secondary to the newer versions of IE.

It's looking good though, you just need to put the finishing touches on the design. Copyright is raised up a bit too high in IE8 and FF (box of text covering most of it), "back to top" links redirect to the homepage, and your first picture isn't displaying on the FAQ page. Just some minor stuff. :)

I absolutely HATE this header. Fake lens flare = tacky. The fonts are weak and wondering all over the place. This is not the sign of a strong buisness venture.

I would really get rid of the burlap-sack background too, it just looks like you found the "filter" button in photo shop and couldn't stop clicking.

Your site's text and photos/work justify your prices but the site looks terrible.

I like the site's structure for sure, the FAQ is a good move and like I said your gallery is really helping you out, but looking at the site, i'd never imagine you've done work on anything more expensive than a Buick if it wasn't for the photos gallery. I would strongly suggest that you higher a professional designer.

Overall I like it. I do agree that there is a little fine tuning that could be done to improve it. Your portfolio is pretty sweet and you'll do number off that alone.

On a side note spending 3-5hrs on a $45 job? You do damn good work but IMO you might want to revisit that. I'm sure you're making less than minimum wage on those jobs.

I think it's a good start for your site, just needs a little fine tuning. I would trim up the processes in "packages and services", the whole wax spiel is a little redundant for each one. Also, I don't like in the gallery when you click and it takes you into a slide selector and can't go back one page to the original view. Other than that, it works for me.

I think the site is easy to navigate and looks pretty good. The things I would change is the packages and pricing. Also you might want to add some upgrades to the packages for extra money, ie paint sealants, aquapel, etc.
