noob question: PC usage for new car?

Long story short I got a new car last month and over the holidays I got a PC 7336 for $80 during the Lowes sale. I had my previous car for 7 years and towards the end wanted a PC just for the sake of having one when need be, so I figured I'd get the 7336 during the sale since it was too good to pass up.

I've been using polymer instead of wax for a few years now, but most of that time I was using Liquid Glass, which despite the long cure time, went on easy and came off easier. I switched to Zaino a few months back and noted that it was just as easy to put on, but really really hard to remove for me. I used the Z2 (not Z2 pro) and ZFX, let it cure for about 45 minutes, and then went to remove it with a microfiber cloth and what little scrawny-armed strength I have, and it was just too hard for me and wasn't coming off completely. In fact, the only way I could get it off was with an occasional spritz of Z6 spray to help remove it. But I wasn't sure if that was a proper way for removal and would weaken it or anything.

So I was thinking, while buying the 7336, that I could use it on speed 1 for Zaino removal. I read a tip somewhere about not using a polishing pad (since it wouldn't be needed on month old car) and just placing my MF cloth between the PC and the car, speed 1, and no added pressure and just using for removal.

I know I may sound like a pansy, but I just didn't have the strength to remove the Z2 from my old car with just MF and muscles. And I was also incredible sore for a couple days from attempting to do so.

I'd really like to be able to use the PC7336 on the slowest speed with just a MF cloth to remove the zaino, but would this be ok to do, or would it be bad on such a new car / cause swirls / damage anything, etc?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Using a quality MF like that is a trick that some other members do here to buff off sealants, so I see no problem with it. I have MF bonnets that I use, but a good MF will do the same job.

I think you also need to consider why the Z is so hard to remove. You may be applying it too thick, a very thin layer is all you need. If I recall some of the Zaino guru's use an ounce or less for multiple (up to 3) applications. I'll let one of the Z experts chime in on this. Good luck!

thanks for the quick reply!

Is setting the speed at 1 a good idea, or can (should?) it be set on something faster?
