Noob question - Klasse

OK, I'm a noob, but I've been maintaining our cars (Passat & Benz) for several years with good-quality products. (Klasse, Griots, Meguires)

In reading through the searches for 'Klasse' on this forum, I've found that everyone puts a wax on top of the All-In-One.

In reading the AIO bottle, it doesn't seem to require this, although they say that you can use the SG for a better shine.

Question: Is it necessary to 'cover' the AIO with a wax or sealant? Or are people doing this for a better appearance (rather than for paint protection).

I recently applied AIO to our Passat and it looks great (great shine, great depth), but I'd like to know if I've skipped an important step.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I used the SG for protection, usually 2-3 coats then top with P21s, I really like the wax topper for the appearance apsect of it rather than protection. IMO I would top the AIO with something for better protection, which I think is the general consensus of a lot of Klasse users here.

I think you always need to put something on top of AIO, cause AIO by itself is not going to last too much, cause its main purpose is as a cleaner and polish, i recommend that you always top the AIO with the SG for best durability is what I always do for my customers, it is going to last 6 months. After you put the SG watch the car for a couple of weeks, then if you want more shine, you can top it with a natural carnauba as P21s or S100, this is optional, I like the shine of the AIO + SG

Putting wax on top of AIO was very, very popular for a while, although it may just have been a fad. ;) Using the SG component of Klasse after AIO is usually what is best, and people optionally put wax on top of multiple coats of SG in an attempt to alter the appearance. SG is extremely durable all by itself already though.

Thanks for all the replies!

I've ordered the SG, and when it arrives, I'll redo the AIO and apply the SG.

Thanks again guys!
