Last year I bought the Dewalt 849 and did get through a couple of polish jobs with some crappy Canadian Tire pads and polishers with the elastic or string tie on ends. These things constantly spin off the backing pad. Anyhow, this year I have driven around trying to find a better set-up. I am a noob to this but I think I need a different backing set-up for my polisher, it came with a rubber pad that is 6 1/2" across. Can I use this or do I need a different set-up to use pads and polishers that won't fly-off? Conversely are these good pads only available online because I have checked the Home Depots, Canadian Tires etc. and can't find anything. Also, what size would fit mine? Thanks for any help.
