jsia- Welcome to Autopia!
[Note that I've never used the Griot's polisher.]
The Griot's orange pads (unlike every other makers orange pads) are very gentle. Even with their MP#2 (or even MP#1) you might not be able to remove marring from hard paint, even with many, many applications.
I've spent literally *hours* doing a single panel with a *more* aggressive approach than that, so don't be surprised if you have to spend some time on this.
Find Dave KG's thread about how to polish with a random orbital polisher and follow his advice. See if the MP#2 might at least make things a little better and then finish it off with a pass with the MP#3.
Don't worry about messing anything up as you're using a very gentle approach.
Oh...OK...just in case your paint is incredibly soft, try the MP#3 first. But I bet it won't do much of anything with regard to removing the scratches. MP#3 hardly does any correction on the soft lacquer on my Jag...glosses it up but doesn't remove any marring.
