No more front bumper bugs

the single stage paint on my gn has some scratches on the roof. thanks to the stupid mechanic who probably placed his work paper book on top and decided to slide it off the roof:mad:

Need a good scratch remover. I've heard or Meguiars Scratch X and Eagle one scratch remover. Any other ones that are better?

If you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, no scratch remover is going to help, you need paint. If that's not the case, either of those products you mentioned are easy to use by hand and offer good results.

It just dawned on me I havent seen any front bumper bugs stuck to my front bumper in a long time . I used to always find them after being on the freeway here for more than a few miles and clean them off right away .

When I think about this new discovery It coincides when when I started using klasse sealant glaze(on top of klasse AIO). Im pretty happy about this !

Im not real happy about the application and removal proccess of it but I must say my boring white van looks pretty amazing with the klasse twins and the non sticking bugs on the front bumper is icing on the cake!

pic of Klasse twins on my roof .....the rest of my vans been polished with Megs 205 but not my roof.

I love the Klasse twins as well. To make the application of KGSG easier, here is what I do. I apply AIO with my PC. The PC helps apply AIO very thin. As a spritz to moisten the pad I use HGSG diluted 50/50 with distilled water in a small spray bottle. This adds a bit more of the acrylic sealant to the application of AIO. I let it haze slightly and wipe it off. Works like a charm. :w00t:

Wow thanks Bio! Thats a unique way to apply it. Ive tried several ways to apply and remove and they all were all pretty much fails until I used a very wet applicator and followed up immediately behind it with a MF .

Is this your own creation or have others been doing it this way too?

Ill have to give it a try !

BTW if thats you in the avatar , you are very pretty!;)

Who's Britney spears?

I got the idea from from a thread where a few guys tried 845 as a spray wax. I found that to be less successful. Which is funny because 845 is so easy to use it doesn't need to be a spray wax. Anyway the HGSG was sitting on my shelf never used because I found it to be a pain. So I tried a few things and came up with this method. Btw, I haven't used Klasse on my current white car but it made my Jetta look like it was dipped in candy. How does it look on your Swagger Wagon?

If I may interrupt, ladies.

I've been reading up on the Klasse Twins. Every experienced opinion that I've read regards it as the best of everything, for cleaning to sealing and waxing.

As a hobbyist detailer with two cars I get the impression that Klasse is all I will ever need to achieve that magnificent gloss finish on my two black cars.

I'm all for simplicity and believe that when you find something that works best, keep using it and stop experimenting and wasting money on lesser rated products.

So. I have new cars in mint condition. Outside of regular washing and periodic claying, is Klasse all I need to keep the paint in its best condition?

IMO Klasse will provide what you need for protection. Certainly AIO is also a great paint cleaner. The only shortcoming you may have is that AIO does not remove any defects. Therefore you may need something with cutting ability from time to time.

While Klasse looks great on everything I have tired it on, some like a warmer shine: nuba wax. Some like to keep the cleaners separate from the sealant: Powerlock or Blackfire.

What I like about Klasse AIO is that it can be used on many surfaces as a cleaner (not just paint). I have used int on black trim without staining. I also use it to remove old wax that people to leave on black trim. I love the stuff and will always have a bottle regardless of what I am using as a final wax or sealant.

I just love to try different stuff so currently I have AIO, Powerlock, Autoglym, and 845. I love them all.

Just my :2 cents:

Thats very creative of you ! Im a little cautious myself to experiment too much , afraid I may mess something up!

My swagger wagon looks pretty swank with the twins on them . I will PM you pics if you like ? White is more difficult to work with though but maybe your method will not be a problem.

I dont think I beleive you about not knowing who Brittney spears is :D

Hi Mr Gloss

Klasse AIO is a great sealant and very easy to work with but it does not apply well over 80 degrees nor black cars in sunlight so I would suggest getting it now before the weather warms up . Or maybe you have a garage and thats not a problem for you .

Klasse SG is a whole other story . Im just starting to like it and even luv it but not sure I want to recommend it because its finicky to apply and remove. But it really does look beautiful on my white van so I can only imagine how great it would look on black!

Do you have a garage ? Thats one reason Ive had so much trouble with it , because I dont have a garage and its very windy where I live .

Also do you mind having to go over it several times to get it completely removed? I really dont like the glaze for this reason but I just keep telling myself its a great workout for my arms and it doesnt seem so bad :D

If you just have to try it I can send you a sample if your really interested because I have enough for a lifetime !

Try applying Klasse SG like a quick detailer, seriously. Put is a bottle with a mister (not a sprayer) and give a section a mist. Work into the paint with a microfiber towel until it feels (very) slick, then flip the towel over and buff to a streak free finish. It is really that easy, and because of an acrylic's natural to quickly 'stick' to the paint, you won't sacrifice any durability, at least not in my experience.

Mr. Gloss- Klasse will provide you with all the protection you need, and I think it looks great on black. However some people may argue that it is a little to shiny/plasticy for their taste and prefer to top the surface with a carnuaba. In fact we have been recommending toping with Klasse with a carnuaba wax for over 15 years, IIRC. Regular P21s looks amazing (IMO) on top of Klasse as is a long time favorite.

detailchick, biolink, th,

I do have a garage and that's where I do all my washes and detailing. We won't be having 80's here until July or August. Spring and fall is when I prefer to do the polishing and sealant, then a layer wax once a month.

I'll make a decision soon.

Thanks for the hands-on advice.

I also like the quick detailer suggestion. I take it you can make several applications with ease by using the mister technique.

Thanks to all.

Thanks Todd

I read that method before also and put mine in a sprayer (not spritzer) and it came out in blobs:D I didnt realize the spritzer was something different.

How many months durability would you sAy using this method? I just assumed this method would cut the durability down and that is one reason I dont like applying it this way .........but not letting it dry completely is the only way I can get it to work for me.

I have found that using klasse HGSG that there is no need for a caranuba topper . It gives me the warm glow and shine Im looking for already but that is just my opinion. We all know how different we all can be !:)
