No Garden Hose =(

Any tips and tricks for full detailing without the availability of a garden hose? Washing car and tires becomes tricky with out that water blasting instrument.

I will definitely second the ONR suggestion. If the car is dirty, you will have to pre-treat it with QD strength ONR. It's given my business more flexibility and gives the car more gloss and fewer water spots than conventional washing - especially in heavy heat.

I would take the car to another location where you can have access to a hose. Not having the water is going to take you longer and if your doing this for profit, it will drag out the process. As the others suggest you can still use ONR, but with a really needy car you may find yourself spending alot more time than if you had the ability of using a hose. As a suggestion, if your near a sink, you can get adapters from your local home depot or hardware store that will allow you to hook up a hose and this will come in handy for other cleanings. Best of luck!

Great thanks to all. I live in new york city where a garden hose is no where to be seen. I really am considering the ONR everyone is talking about. More suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have been washing my car with ONR for the last 3 weeks. I love this stuff, I wash the car in the garage with 4 gallons of water, 2 gallons wash bucket 2 rinse buclet. I wash the car top to bottom with 2-3 grout sponges then dry with 2-3 drying towels. I spray the wheels with a wheel cleaner, the tires with a tire cleaner, dip the tire brush in the rinse water wash the tire, then use a wheel brush and risne water to clean the wheel, spray the wheel again with ONR at QD dilution, use a sponge or MF towel in the ONR wash bucket and wash the wheel, dry with a MF or cotton towel. I treat the wheel wells the same.

You might also consider getting a hand held pressurized sprayer (like in the garden center for spraying fertilizers etc.)

Depending on your vehicle you can equip it with a couple 55 gallon drums or a single large tank so you can bring the water with you. Even if your using a bucket to get it to the car the water is invaluable imo.

I stand corrected as of today when I finally used ONR. This product def a time saver and worth every penny. I have had some bad experiences with products that claimed to be water-less washes and whatnot, but this has proven itself. ONR will be my go to product from now on. Thanks for pushing this wonderful product!

I used ONR yesterday for the first time and I was really impressed. It seems almost easier than the traditional method. My process has certainly changed from here on. My car couldn't be happier.

ONR would be your best bet. If not that, you will need to haul a watertank and pressure washer with you.

After doing an dirty excursion's wheel wells last week using ONR and no hose, I decided that I am going to purchase a battery powered water sprayer (similiar to a garden sprayer, but with a larger tank and no hand pump since it is battery powered).

That was a long, long afternoon.

Nomad has a really nice one. Quite expensive unfortunately.

If the price wasn't so steep, I would love to have one, not so much for car detailing, but when I go camping in primative areas or on the lake or when I need to spray water in the side of the house furthest away from the hose spigot (or whatever that is called).
