Today I detailed my friends Nissan Sentra SE-R (black). His car had some minor swirling, nothing major so I thought SSR 1 would do the trick. I worked it in the hood for a while and after I buffed it out, the swirls got worse! I have no idea what happened there so I bumped it up to SSR 2.5. Well after trying a small area, nothing seemed to be improving. I know I have the right technique because I have 'unswirled' plently of other cars and I properly prepped the paint before compounding, so what could have gone wrong? The pads I used were fresh from the wash and had no signs of old crust on it. Could it be that Nissan paint is harder then others? I own a Acura/Honda and their paint is very soft, so swirls are no problem to remove... but today my friend was really dissppointed in me and I was so
