Hey guys, i was just reading on autogeek about the Menz Nano Polish...

"This clear coat, called CeramiClear from PPG, is the only nanotechnology clear coat used on Mercedes production lines and is approved for the repair of Mercedes and Nissans."

does this mean that nissans have hard clear coats too? or just that nissan has approved this product for paint correction?

guys, i too would like to know..

i was polishing an 03 350Z Super Black yesterday with PC, orange CCS pad with Menzerna Intensive Polish. I was able to get rid of the really fine swirls but not very happy with the results after going over the hood twice... the clear coat does not seem to budge.. i'm looking to try out super intensive polish

I did a black Nissan two weeks ago and SIP with a rotary did not dent the swirls. I had to go to M105 and wool pads to nail it.

^thanks for the tip...

i'm fairly new to detailing and i try to be a as mild as i can but this clear coat makes me want to use a sandpaper.

Anyone know if an 06 350Z would have the ceramiclear? Paint code is B17; its blue if that matters...frankly its never been waxed or clayed; only washed and I admit it doesn't have a whole lot of swirls in it in total to be treated the way it has.
