Nikku Detailed: BMW 328i Coupe

Client brought this in for a detail.

The car has been resprayed twice. The bumper was resprayed, the rear fender was resprayed and the driver side door and front fender was blended when repainted.

The issue with the repaint was the clear coat was very very soft. So as expected the area was heavily swirled.

Paint readings were healthy all around from oem to the repainted areas.

Anyways on to the detail.

DURING

With the paint correction there were a few things to consider the repainted areas and the oem areas. The hood was hit with Intensive Polish then followed up with PO85rd. The bumper that was repainted was hit with M105 and then M205. The soft repainted and blended areas surrounding the rear fender was hit with a variation of SIP, PF, 106ff and PO85rd polishes.

The lines by the sun reflection are not holograms. Coincidentally planes left a trail of cloud or whatever you call it above. At first it freaked me out but realized they were cloud lines. Anyways on with the rest of the pics.

Thanks for looking.

that looks great ! ....just out of curiosity...why dont you use a rotary to make corrections...instead you used a PC...just wondering

I used a rotary and a PC. PC for the soft clear on the repainted areas was used to finish down with po85rd. Aside from that i used my metabo pe 12175 rotary.

Hey Barry!

Thanks for the compliment.

The metabo is good but i'm finding the ergonomics of the rear to be a little uncomfortable. I may switch back to the makita and keep the two metabos for backup.

I'll see how it goes the next few details.

Btw fantastic work on the Mondial :) I loved it.
