I had to use all of tricks on this diaster, including Q-Tips and plastic razor blades. This made my top 3 worst condition vehicles I ever had to detail. Man hours involved 10. Gary

Amazing turnaround, that Sport Trac was absolutely nasty!
Shiny Lil Detlr said:Wow.... you can be glad that Sport Tracs have no carpeting!!
Nice work.
Shiny Lil Detlr said:While I'd be inclined to agree, I must say that sometimes these sort of things aren't as difficult to clean up as they seem. It all comes down to investing in the right equipment. For interiors like that, I don't know WHAT I would do without my steamer. Take for example this '92 Grand Am I did a while back:

And after the use of a mixture of #00, APC+, and OxiClean to wipe up the worst of it, I hit everything with the steamer. This is what I came out with:

Any of the areas you see that are still "dirty" looking, are because they were worn so far gone, that nothing I tried brought them back. Keep in mind, this was a '92 car, with 90K miles, that had NEVER had ANYTHING done to it in its life until I got to it in early 2005.
My total working time for the interior? 3 hours.
I also did some light rust repair to the outside -- I'll try to find a pic (or pics) and make my own thread on it.
