here is what i got:

KLASSE AIO

KLASSE SEALENT GLAZE

ClearKote VANILLA MOOSE WAX

POORBOYS SSR 2.5, 2, 1

P21S CARNAUBA WAX

MENZERNA HIGH GLOSS ACRYLIC SHIELD

POORBOYS SPRAY AND GLOSS

please let me know. thanks so much,

ipaqman

you didn't state how the condition of the paint is on the porsche. Does it have deep swirling? light swirls? hairline/random scratches? There's no way to answer that unless you give us more details on the paint.

No, it's just a lot of steps and would take forever. And you could get the same looks with the other steps the other guy suggested.

well its an 06 porsche dark blue that has some swirls and small scratches here and there. what my goal is to get that nice deep wet look when im finished. i also want it to last.

thanks,

ipaqman

No tips regarding the SSR stuff (never used them), but you oughta choose between the Klasse and the VM; the two approaches are incompatible.

Unless you can get the finish marring-free, I wouldn't go the Klasse route because it allows every little flaw to show.

Not to sound like an *** but do you have experience before you dig into the paint on an 06 porsche? Or you could just be trying new things. I have asked some questions like that before

no this will be my first time using a porter cable which is why i would like to know what steps to use and any tips a beginner should know about using a pc.

thanks,

Most Porsches have pretty hard paint, and doing significant correction on hard paint for the first time is likely to be problematic. Don't think I'd try it on that particular vehicle...

I'd probably recommend that you use the SSR polishes as needed, trying for "better" as opposed to "perfect". Be sure to break them down completely and don't use too much product. Use the SSR1 last, then use VM, then P21S.

No way I'd try to get it nice enough for the Klasse twins, no need IMO for the Menzerna stuff.

And if somebody wants to say "you simply shouldn't learn on a Porsche", well, I won't argue...the PC is pretty mild, but if you have an "oops" that'd be a real shame. Be careful not to bump anything with the backing plate, it's a quick ticket to the bodyshop ;)

anyone know if that would be a good order to use those products to detail a dark blue 2006 porsche. i need to know pretty soon because im detailing it tomorrow.

thanks,

what if i went with:

SSR 2

SSR 1

KLASSE AIO

KLASSE SEALENT GLAZE

CLEARKOTE VANILLA MOUSE

P21S CARNAUBA

POORBOYS GLOSS

Use the SSR2 until all the significant marring is gone (expect to do *many* passes to achieve that). Then use the SSR1 to achieve a final, glossy finish. Don't switch to the SSR1 until you're basically satisfied with how the paint looks because I wouldn't expect it to remove any marks.

Then decide between the Klasse approach and the Vanilla Moose approach. If you go with Klasse (which I'd only do if you get the finish perfect), layer on additional coats of KSG 24 hours apart (I shoot for at least 4). If you go with the VM, apply a coat of P21S right after the VM. I no longer top my KSG with waxes as I like to add more KSG from time to time (which you can't do once you apply the wax)...if I don't like the look of the KSG on a particular vehicle I just don't use it. On a dark blue Porsche, I'd go with the VM/P21s approach but that's just me.
