HOOKED ON THE DETAILS
Just joined and have picked up info already. Ordered a case of CD2 engine detail on the ravings of the site. Got into detailing in an odd sort of way as I had always had others do this work. Got some parking lot damage on the front of my 2003 Silver Birch Mercury Marauder and took it into Metric Motors in the Detroit area for repair. When I got it back I was amazed, what a great job they did! Not only the repair done beyond expectations but they also took care of all my paint chips and reglazed the whole vehicle. My 110000 daily driver never looked better! It reminded me why I bought it to begin with. Wanting to keep it that way I began a search that ended up with the purchace of a pc,pads, polishes,Waxes and an assortment of micro fibre. Over the Labor Day weekend I clayed, polished with Sonus SFX-1 with JW Prime w/Polycharger as my lsp. Turned out great!
Picked up some great advice from you folks already and am looking foreward to adding to my knowledge.

Welcome to DC:howdy:howdy, where dya get your case of CD2, I know some of the DC members are looking for it :D

Internet order from Wax Depot. Case of 6 for $41.70.
Here's the killer, shipping $17.76. After I ordered I found that it is most likely in my area. Search, search, search then buy.

Kind of addictive ain't it? I really have to hold back on my purchases and use what I already have but I keep seeing and reading about products that I want to try. Guess that I will give away some to make room. Really resisting the urge to get a Cyclo Polisher hope that with winter approaching in Michigan that I can hold off untll spring. Great folks on this site and lots(Too Much?)info. Must...resist....new ...purchases...must ...resist.

Welcome to DC! It seems like the bug has already gotten a hold of you. I hope you enjoy your stay.

The CD2 is also available from a couple of suppliers on Amazon.com.
I got mine from Midway at least a year ago, but I don't remember what the shipping was.
A case is shown as 12 pounds so it won't be cheap.
Running all over town to try to find it isn't cheap either. :)

ps. Amazon.com link
Amazon.com: Used and New: Engine Detailer, 12.5 oz., CASE OF 6

Thanks Charles. Looks like what I paid is about in the middle. Going to check out the local auto pats places when I'm out and about, from whats on the site, if found, prices will be lower just without the shipping.

If you find it locally, let us know.
I haven't seen it in any of the stores in my area for several years. That includes: Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts, O'Reilley's, NAPA, Car Quest, Target or Wal*Mart.
