Just stumbled across this site, it's great! I just ordered my new 2002 XLT F-150 truck. I have a few questions on waxing the paint. Unfortunatly my truck will have to sit outside, and is going to be my work truck but I still want to keep it looking good as possible. Since the paint is new (dark metallic green clear coat)do I have to wait before I wax it for the first time (truck is being built, hasn't set on a dealers lot) and do I wax or polish or both or what? What brand and product should I use, do I need to use a clay bar the first time? Sorry for all the questions but I need help. Many thanks!

You can polish and wax your vehicle as soon as you get with no waiting. If the vehicle is outside all the time i would use a good paint sealant, Klasse and Zaino are two of the best. Remember making a car look good is all in the prep work and proper care, the polishing, contamination removal the proper washing and so on.

I have two good tips for you, buy the Autopia Ebook and read this forum.

BTW all apprentice need to go to Autopia university with their questions. :)
