Always a car fanatic...finally getting to a place in life where I can afford to indulge myself. The big toy right now is a brand new 2012 911 Turbo S...been caring for it myself, but I'd love to find a super-talented detailer in the Long Island area who might earn my trust. Till then, I'm doing my own wash, clay and wax, and so far the car pretty much looks like new. A little nervous to put the DA machine to the Porsche paint, but I'm working up to it little by little. :)



Hope to learn enough to ease my fears here, or at least hook up with someone I can trust to do it for me.
 
Welcome. Get some polishing pads and a good light polish and you'd pretty much have to throw the machine at the car to cause any damage. Lots of good videos and other resources posted around to get you started.

The DA is pretty safe. Just start out with the finest polish to see if that gives you the results you like. It probably will. If defects remain then move one step more agressive. Do a search on the forum and you will quickly find all the info you need. Good luck!
