First time here, just want to say HELLO to everyone first!
After reading "How to"s and a lot of posts here with photos I have to admit that I am very impressed in both level of the professionalism and friendliness of the people on this forum :up :up
I am a proud owner of the black Jetta 2003, Wolfsburg Edition, it's slightly lowered, engine mods etc not related to this forum. I love the ride and I wan't to keep it in the good shape. I bought it in December and it got abused by Canadian winter right from the beginning. I've washed it yesterday and I wasn't suprised to see some oxydation and swirles. Swirles and microscratches are very obvious on the trunk and the hood. So, I've decided to get ready for a warm weather ( I hope, soon ) and get yourself tools for a job.
I went to "Canadian Tire" today. Got completely lost in all those names, polishes, waxes, sealants etc. Sale rep have recommended Mothers line of product and I got Phase 1, 2 and 3. For the buffer, the best they've had was WEN 2 speed 943 model. It comes with the 2 sand disks and one foam applicator and terry cloth applicator. Now, reading through this forum I've realised that maybe this is a not the best choice. Correct me if I am wrong. Should I return it and get it more descent one?
As far, as I can understood, each job requires different buffer, right? If so, which one is for what job (taking in account that I have Mother's phase 1,2,3).
I really feel a bit lost here, so I will really appreciate your answers and suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
