Newbie help

Hi, obviously I am new here, and I have a couple of Q's. I finally decided to try and bring my paint past "good or nice" and take it to "wow", only one problem, its a black 2002 silverado with a ton of swirl marks/scratches. I have already tried;

Dawn wash

Meguiar's claybar

Meguiar's Deep Crystal System (the red bottle 3-step stuff)

All applied with a orbital buffer (not enough $$$ for a PC yet)

This made it look nice, but not good enough.

After some reading here I figured I'd try the following, and would like to know if I'm on the right track.

Claybar again, just for fun :p

Meguiar's body scrub

Meguiar's #9 (swirl remover 2.0)

Meguiar's #7 (Show Car Glaze)

Meguiar's #26 (Hi-Tech yellow wax)

Will this remove most of the swirls/scratches, and give me a "wow" type of finish?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks!

~Joe

yes this will give u a wow effect as long as it is done properly.. which should be easy... the only thing tho, i would substitute the 26 for meguiars #16

If you have "tons" of swirl marks I doubt that just #9 will be strong enough. Try it first, but have a stronger polish on hand too. There should be several you can choose from 3M Meguiar's, Einszett, and others.
