Newb with a black vehicle

Hi all,

I just finished waxing my wife's SUV and my new truck and I think my arm is going to fall off. I was thinking about buying an electric polisher like the g100 that Meguiars has. The problem is, I have no idea how to use the thing. Do I use it to apply the wax and then remove the wax by hand with a terry towel? Or can I use a different pad to remove the wax?

Thanks

First thing, welcome to the site, read up on everything and you'll know more than you'd ever imagine about car care. As to your question about wax application and removal you can apply the wax with the pad (a soft finishing pad) and remove it with a high quality terry cloth towel or (preferably) a nice microfiber towel.

Welcome to the city! If it is a paste wax, it will be more difficult to use a machine to apply, but it can be done. And yes, you can remove with a bonnet over a pad aswell. But, a much easier route would be picking up some Poorboys Natty Wax, P21S, or Meguiars NxT because all of these products are easy on and easy off making waxing so much easier. Good luck!

Welcome to the site and like others have said read, read, read....the search feature can help allot as well for keyword searches......for a buffer look up porter cable here (pc) this is what most all of us here are using that is very user freindly and can achive results that are pro-like. For wax, polsih and the likes of those there are quite a few reviews that you can read up on that will give you a great idea on what would work best for you, either by hand or machine.
