New guy here from Tampa Bay, FL.

Getting back into my detailing hobby/obsession after a 4 year hiatus brought on by a motorcycle accident in 2008 (not my fault). Could not walk for nearly 2 years. Ambulatory again about 80%. PTL...

Mostly just a hobbyist that does detailing from friends and family. Was partial to Zaino products. Now looking at and buying Blackfire and other products for a change of pace. Just bought a PC DA to replace the one I had to sell while laid up and out of work.

Been poking around here for a couple of weeks. This place is dangerous to your wallet for sure. Hoping to do my first full detail in a while soon on my two cars (both white/pearl white). Neither vehicle needs much by way of correction. One vehicle (GMC Terrain) is brand new. I will start with that one: clay -- BF Total Polish and Seal -- Wet Diamond AFPP -- Carnuba as soon as I get the DA. The other car (Fusion Sport) is about a year old and also does not require much paint correction. I'll prolly use the same process on that one and see how it goes.

I figure that will get me back into the game, then I can tackle some tougher challenges. Looking forward to spending some time here.

Thanks for the welcome all. Everytime I log on here I find at least 2 or 3 new things that I just can't live without...

Getting started with my GMC. Washed and did the clay and the wheels the other night. My DA still isn't here so I cannot go any further on the outside. Detailed the interior. I tried Leather honey on the seats and I don't care for it. I removed the excess but it still feels sticky and attracts dust. I'll be looking for something else for that. Meg QID has always been one of my favorites for the dash and trim. So that's a no brainer for me.

Peace...

try meguiar's d180 leather cleaner & conditioner. it has great cleaning ability and the conditioner leaves a smooth, non sticky finish !
