Hey new guy here, looked around a bit and see thier is a lot of information here, so much so that im already lost with all of this knowledge... so I was just curious as to the best way to get my truck looking new. IT is in pretty good condition and doesn't look to bad but it has some light swirl marks and could jst use a good polishing and so my question is, what would some of you guys do, I dont have a orbital or anything so everything would be by hand. I dont know whata lot of these acronyms are so please try to just use name brands or generic product things. Any info would help. Thanks alot.

Dont have any pics yet but ill try to get some, its a 1996 standard cab 2.3 5 speed. Nothing to special I have put a little work into it here and thier and it has its dents and scratchs but for the most parts its in pretty decent shape, which is why I am glad I found this place. My moto is I might not have the newest or coolest car but at least I can have the cleanest!

So after reading on some boards would this be a good plan of attack.
wash
then clay
then start with a light swirl remover, (like ssr1 since that seems to be a favorite around here)
then if that doesn't work go to something stronger like ssr2
then wax.
? would all of this be able to be done by hand and does that seem like the right order for everything, does anyone have any ideas that would work better or something to add or take away? Thanks in advance
