it is my understanding that a new vehicles paint needs to cure for a year before applying a wax.....is this true?..... for now i am going to order some washing shampoo & quick drying towels...

i have clear coat paint...

thanks

Andre is correct. Do it soon! This is true, regardless if the brand.

BTW, the WORST source for any info about car care is the Dealer Sales staff!

My two cents.

AGREED! They have no idea what they are talking about and MOST dealer detailers are the same way.

Buying a new car from a dealer...You can protect it the next day. Obviously prep it, but that paint is definately cured the day you get it.

Re-paint...30 days or under. If it is baked, under 30. Not baked, around 30 to be safe. Today's clearcoats are more advanced and cure quicker.

ok you have convinced me...i will wait a couple weeks to do the wax as i just had the hood painted & installed a few days ago...

thanks for all the advice :)
