Perhaps some experienced sun gun users can give me some tips on using it?

I tried it with my yellow Z06 - tried different angles, looking directly at it, indirectly, etc...., and it always showed my paint as perfect. However, if I shine a 500w hallogen on the paint and look at it sideways, I can see all the scratches and swirls before the correction, quite easily. Put the sungun back on it, and paint looks fine.

i was really hoping it would be as easy as point and shoot and I"d see every imperfection after my initial correction, but right now I'm not having much luck with it.

I also tried it on a black car, but it's so covered in dirt right now it was too difficult to see much of anything.

Nice toy! How heavy is it with the battery in it?

Very very light. Don't have a scale handy, but it is really really really light, almost like holding a feather. (not quite, but almost)

awww... he's got a YELLOW (look at me look at me!) Z06.. Isnt that just cute. haha. Let me know when you wanna line up against my G Nasty, or my little bro's Z06 with Lingenfelter TT's, or heck, my sisters T/A (that is far from stock) in the background.. Ya know, not to inject drama here but something with that picture didn't sit right with me.

Then I realized what it is - that garage belongs to a member on a LOCAL forum I frequent.

Family car line up... 2400+hp :P - Beyond.ca - Car Forums

Oh snizap.

Btw, let me guess - after you make your 4k/week doing your corporate details, you fly your private jet up to Calgary, Alberta, Canada from Jackson, Ms, USA and put around in your GNX.

I would think this would be the one site where you wouldn't want to steal other people's pictures :rules:

looks like something fun is about to happen... flawless image have anything to say about this OIP? (ownage in progress).

Well, Flawless does talk about his little Bro and his sister owning those cars, and the link that fnfast posted does in fact say "family car lineup". Sounds reasonable to me.

But, then again, on the internet, you can be anybody you want to be, and own anything you want to own.

The real owner says he is an electrician, living in Calgary, Canada. Flawless Image says he's a detailer, in Jackson, MS.

Flawless, you have been outed and owned. Stealing others pictures, posting them (and the cars too) as your own is just stupid.

Well there are a ton of pics in that thread can anyone zoom in on a plate and see if it's from Canada or Mississippi? My zoom blurs it all so i can't tell. But I'm sure someone is savy enough to get a plate shot there.

I can't remember if it was for this sun gun or something else but they recommend you stand like ~3ft from the paint with the light because the light it so bright... Could be 100% wrong, but I swore I saw it somewhere.

Play with different distances.

I'm no photoshop wiz, so I can't read the actual plates, but they do appear similar to Alberta Province plates. I've spent quite a bit of time in Calgary, so I'm familiar with what their plates look like.

Maybe you guys have it all backwards...maybe that guy in Canada stole the pictures from Flawless?

If that's the case, then the guy from Canada is using Flawless' driveway and tree for the signature pic he uses on beyond.ca. His sig pic is definitely using the same driveway as the other pics in that thread.

Not only that but the guy on the other forum produced pictures on demand.

::Waits for the "I was just kidding guys" response from flawless::.....
