Been around a while, just lurking. Took up detailing as a hobby over 5 years ago and turned it into a part time business. Why not do what you love right? I am from just outside of Jackson, MS and from the looks of it, we don't have any detailers from the area!!!!! I will be happy to take on that role!

All of the products I use are made in the USA and I stand behind my work as a detailer as well as the products I use. I look forward to learning a few things here, and always strive to become better. I enjoy customer service, and usually I am good at it. If there are any questions that you all have for me just feel free to shoot!!!

(not sure about rules for posting the products I use, if they aren't a sponsor).

Thanks,

Chris

Welcome to the forums. Feel free to talk about any product as long as you are not affiliated with that company.

Awesome! Ok well I use Adams Products, my affiliation......I do pass along the products to my customers........ I thought at first it was a band wagon that people jumped on but I was mistaken. I tried their products and if you look at the thread I created the the show and shine section, it speaks for itself.

I was a user of 3m professional products for a while when it came to paint correction, and never really got the results I was looking for not to mention the liability of using a rotary with their products.... I look forward to hearing about everyone else's opinions on different products and seeing the work that everyone performs! Is this site geared toward the DIY detailer or more along the lines of a Business minded detailing forum?

Post all you want about your experience with products and brands as long as you aren't a rep. Or owner of the product company! That's what we're all here for!

Thanks for the welcome guys, just trying to get acquainted with the site and fall into a groove ya know. I hate to be the new guy who jumps on and says what has already been said. I am semi new to detailing. Started just over 5 years ago professionally, and have gained so much knowledge and skill since the beginning. I have been a auto enthusiast forever and hope to stay that way. One of the forums I frequent, had a sponsor (AdamsPolishes.com). I won a coupon from them for some free products. I was hooked! Nothing but success and happiness with their products. I started using 3m and never could get the finished product that I was shooting for.

I am still in the learning curve of finding out what products from other companies offer the same results as what I currently use. Learning that many people favor the M105 and M205 products for paint correction/and restoration. Also the word Blackfire has been used several times I think. Several products I am not familiar with.

I currently use a PC 7424xp and a Flex polisher with Adam's 3 step system. I haven't really mixed or mismatched other pads and polishes, because I have been able to get the job done right with my current setup. I will say, for a detailer trying to earn a living, these products are quite expensive. So I am out learning what else there might be for me and how it will help me!
