New to Autopia, thought I'd share

Hi everyone, been reading the site for about a week and just purchased a PC at Lowes, cant wait to put it to work. Thought I would share some photos of my ride. Will probibally have some questions about some products and such when it warms up a little and I can start working on some detailing. The paint is in pretty good condition, light to medium swirls and some fairly light scratches that should come out from the info I have read here. Pics can be viewed at http://phreakflier.smugmug.com/gallery/392108

Welcome and Nice Truck!

What do you use? Product wise.

Well welcome! Ask alot of questions and then you can answer alot of questions.

I'm a Clay, Sonus Paint Cleaner, Sonus SFX Polish, Klasse AIO, Klasse SG, P21S, Microfiber GUY!

Oh, products.... Well I purchased the truck back in 2002 and it probibally had never had anything but the dealer prep and regular washes. It was owned by an elderly couple and was kept garaged quite often I think. What you see is about 1 to 2 months max after using the Meguiars 3 step system you can purchase at most auto parts stores, nothing fancy I guess. I applied all by hand and it made a big improvement. The swirls were virtually gone but I think they were filled a bit by the polish and wax cause they started to re-appear after about a month. This spring I am definately gonna clay it. I am not sure what kind of polish I might need yet. But after that was thinking about going the AIO, SG, P21S route. Still learning alot so undecided yet.

:welcome to Autopia cobalt135

We're 'into the details', and this is a great / friendly place for the exchange of ideas I'm sure you'll enjoy your yor time at Autopia and using the PC

You will also need a dedicated swirl remover too. AIO is a great final polish but it won't remove swirls.

Nice looking truck!

I use Sonus Sfx #2 to remove swirls then finish with SFX-3. Sonus makes great pads for all applications. Look into them for your PC.
