New ride!

This last weekend I brought home a 2014 Mazda 6 i Touring with just under 34,000 miles. The Acura will be sold in the next week or two, and it will be dearly missed, but I am looking forward to my time with my new baby!

I learned how to detail(and made MANY mistakes)with the Acura even though the paint was SO sunburnt from the get go, and learned how to drive in that car. I`ve made some truly amazing memories with it, and those I will always remember. I love the Acura with all its faults(there`s a few), and always will, but it is time to move on to something new.

This really is a great car, albeit not very sporty, but still a very nice, solid car to drive. And, this one is in quite good condition too! No dings or dents, and nothing is broken or really damaged. The paint is full of swirls, scratches, and holograms on the hood, all of which will be tackled in a couple weeks when I get the chance. These pics are after wash/iron-x/blackhole/Natty`s blue paste Saturday night, and then a rinse and Uber wipedown Sunday morning. This car will be a huge challenge(black, DD)but I`m very excited to really put my skills to the test:)

Disappointed - was hoping to drool over a Viper.
Nonetheless, I`ve always liked that body style Mazda6
Lol I wish

As a college student I definitely can`t afford a Viper. I`m just very glad/grateful that my parents wanted to get me a new car since the Acura started having issues. And an awesome car at that:)

Check back in 8-10 years and hopefully it`ll be about a Viper;)

Awesome congrats!! Hopefully it`s not rock hard Mazda paint. I worked on a Mazda and the black paint was some of the hardest I`ve ever seen. I think it was an older model than what you have.

Thanks Ray!

Hmm....thats interesting, I would`ve guessed it would be soft since its Japanese, but we shall see when get to put a buffer to it. I`d prefer that it not be ultra soft like the Acura though

I had a Mazda 6 just like that one! I loved that car, the paint on mine was awful susceptible to rock chips, though. Be careful!

Town North, you really are close to me. Town North is around 5-8 min (75) south of me. Mazda 6 is a good car, the only Mazda I like besides the MKI Miata and Mazda race cars. In its class, it is one of the better driving cars, IMO, congrats on the new wheels!

Thats funny. It`s a little bit of a drive from where I am, but not terribly far.
Thanks!!

Thats funny, same region too I see.

Thanks for the heads up!

Haha I don`t think that one was mine.... But yea they are great cars.

Admittedly I never got the 30 mpg it claims, I have a heavy foot though. I always blew right past the "gas friendly" thing on the accelerator pedal.

Enjoy it! And post your detail pics, you can really make that metallic flake dance on the black paint.

Congrats on the new ride. Mazda is making some highly regarded cars right now. I`m sure you will be happy with the purchase.
Thanks!

Probably not lol, there aren`t really any rock chips

Its rated at 26/38, and I`m sure I won`t get that high, but it will sure be a hell of a lot better than the 20-22 I get in the TSX(I am also the owner of a heavy foot haha)

Will do!
