New Post Card .......

so the same card to the same house each month??? interesting....let us know how it works, and how many new clients you pick up from it....I know you have a big enough client list already with lots of word of mouth....

Card one will go out then card two will follow it in 4-5 weeks. I plan on hitting the same 2500 about 5-6 times.

I will let you guys know how it goes.

“Very professional marketing!!!

If it’s not already written in stone, may I suggest a photo of yourself, van and trailer. This will add credibility of your established professional image. Alternating post card is also very professional. We have also done mailers of 5,000, three times with amazing success!!!

Just make sure you have a expiration date and call to action.

Good luck.

From another perspective:

As soon as a company that I've never dealt with before sends me more than one postcard cold, I vow to never do business with them.

Some people are extremely annoyed by wasteful junk mail.

Also, using "she" is not good "marketing speak", even though you might be marketing to men who might even think of their car as a she. It's best to be 100% gender sensitive, ESPECIALLY when doing cold marketing.

Cars are NOT boats.

Do you really need to discount your services? Nothing wrong at all with sending out reminders to regulars every few months to let them know it is time to wax again, just not sure if you really need to discount your services.

Are you mainly trying to gain new customers?

Thanks for the replies.

I have decided not to offer a discount on anything. Good service and awesome detailing is going to have to hookém!

We are busy enough for three of us. I want more business so I can completely be removed from doing the grunt work.

I just need to bump up are cliental a bit.

I can certainly understand that. With my sons helping me, I mostly just do the washing, polishing and waxing and they do the rest. Eventually, I hope to have it where I am in a more supervisory position so I will probably have to start marketing then so I can pay my help more.

I agree with the other posts. You've definitely got to reword that if you are mailing it out. Sounds very unprofessional.

Thanks for your input. Much appreciated. Keep in mind I am an 10th grade drop-out so spelling isn't my strongest skill.

Just out of curiosity, and not trying to be judgmental in any way, why did you leave school? I am a teacher and always interested as to why people choose to drop out of high school.

just imo but sounds a bit creepy now with the "i will love her" bit.

why not just use like "Give her what she deserves, treat yourself" or something

that way you can trick customers into rationalizing the cost as for the car, not themselves.. a kind of maintenance. but also highlights their immediate benefit from the service.

1. It was boring 2. Teachers didn't care all I did was sleep at my desk 3. Parents didn't care (I was never asked about my report card or anything) 4. Allot of my friends dropped out.

I did manage to put myself together, join the Marine Corps for three years, start my own business (18 years strong so far) and buy four cars (all paid for ) and buy a house. I am able to have my Wife as a stay at home Mom to raise our daughter.

So all n all not too bad but I sure did things the hard way!

Well, glad things turned out for you the way they did. The statistics usually don't predict the kind of success for dropouts that you have had. They spend a lot of time in districts now preventing dropouts and getting back the kids that have. Pretty severe penalties for dropouts in your district here in Texas.
