I'm having my 96 Impala repaired from an accident and trying to decide what I want. I have two choices:

BLACK

BLACK/SILVER TWO-TONE

:nixweiss How does that look like a cop? Well I love black but since i'm getting work done to it I thought i change it up and make it look like I changed something. Its just hard to decide.

Personally, I don't think the shape of that Impala body style lends itself to two-tone schemes. The early, straight styles do but not these curvier ones.

PC.

I say go with the two tone. You will have some nice new black paint to work with, without having a copletely black car and the work that that involves..

i would go with the black/silver combo, looks pretty sharp. The all black kinda blah's the body where the combo give's it a little life

My opinion would be go for the two-tone, but put the black on the bottom and the silver up top instead. Maybe have a red accent by having it pinstriped right around where the two colors meet.

My $0.02

BTW, I'm jealous. I've wanted an Impala SS ever since I drove one for Driver's Ed. (Yes, they used one as a Driver's Ed car!)

Yeah there will definetly be a paint stripe if i go the two tone route. My painter and I ruled out red though. Thinking maybe a turquiose, or lime green. Mind you this will be about a 1/4 paint stripe.

Silver on top is an idea! Still have the mirror reflection black on the sides that way. Hmmm....:bounce

Dont have any pics of currently. Need to get some. Right now I've had Z34 Lumina hood vents molded in and shaving the trunk emblem/lock. I have modded side mirrors with Mecedes c-class LED turn signals. Other than that its just primed stock body.

I'll get some current pics up by next week.

i think the TT is better than just black alone. I dont think it would be ghetto considering some of the cars you purchase from the MFG come 2 tone as well. but i like that TT scheme. I saw a pic of a 32 ford where it was 2tone silver on bottom and metallic green on top very hot. whose going to paint it any way?

I would do the silver/black scheme with some black lowenharts or so...it would look really good.

I dont know about the Lowenharts. I like them and they look sick on B-bodys when in black. But its not my style. I'm after performance more than bling. But, I may have the stock 17s powdercoated black in the center and leave the polished lip. :xyxthumbs
