New pad fraying, is this normal?

I just used some new lc pads and around the outer edge of the pad it looks they're starting to get fuzzy. Is this normal? Also I was having a problem with the polish splattering everywhere. Is this because of the pad or was I doing something wrong?

Don't know about the pads cuz I don't use LC, but I'd assume you'd be ok... just depending on how bad the fraying is.



As for the "splattering" how were you applying product? I usually put a dose on the paint, spread it around with the pad first with the machine off and then start it up. If you were splattering you may have had too much product or not spread it out enough initially
