I just wanted to introduce myself, I'm a new member from Ohio. I wanted to say, this site is a great resource with tons of information. I got tired of having a dirty car, so I decided to detail the interrior, and try to get it spotless. Its amazing with a difference it makes.

Here is a before and after of my passenger floor mat to give you an idea:

I'm amazed that those stains even came out. I assumed they were permanent. One question though, if you notice the 'A' has some white stuff in it. I cant seem to get that out. THe way I cleaned the rest of the mat was to soak it with carpet cleaner, then use a scrub brush, then use cleaner again and scrub it with a towel. It seemed to work well.

Would you use a wire brush around the 'A' or is that too aggressive. In the picture it doesn't look too bad, but in person it really detracts from a clean mat.

I'll post pictures of my drivers side mat later. The change is just as dramatic, but it was much dirtier before, and although its cleaner, it still looks dirty, probably due to wear. I'll try cleaning that again later.

Since I live in Ohio and its very cold, I'm not really worried about the exterior right now. I do plan on reading up, and in spring, I'll clay my car and wax it (2 things I've never done in my life)
