Hey all just wanted to introduce myself. I recently purchased a 2007 Subaru WRX and seeing as this is the nicest car I've owned wanna keep it looking good. After hours of reading and searching on here I think I have a good idea of what I'm going to use and thought I wouldget the experts opinions.

Meguiars Deep Crystal car wash

Meguiars smooth surface clay kit

Deep Crystal System polish

NXT liquid wax

then topped with either collinite #476 or #845

I live in Fl so I was figuring this would give me the best combination of shine and longevity for the rainy summers we have. So what does everyone think? These are all based on reading I've done on these forums but with the thousands of posts I might have missed something so any other products comparable to price and specs of these would also be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in adavance!

I'm not an expert, but I do know that Subaru's have some of the the worlds worst paint jobs. The paint chips if you sneeze on it & they use a very thin coat to begin with.

Both of my brother's own Subaru's & they are both badly stone chipped. I'm not sure what you can do to prevent that other than one of those clear stick on stone chip coverings.

Here is what *I* would do. You seem to be going mostly OTC, so I will base my reccomendations on that.

For a wash, go to a local Car Quest and see if they have any Collinite 845 or Duragloss. If they do, get the Duragloss Car Wash (*miles* ahead of the Megs stuff, IMO), Duragloss 101 Paint Cleaner, and Collinite 845. So you are set for a wash, paint cleaner, and wax. Skip the NXT step, really not needed. Clay should be available at Car Quest, too, or if it's not, check some other stores. Pick up some sheepskin wash mitts, and some MF WW drying towels, too.

yeah subaru paint does suck which is partly why im going all out right from the start. as for location im in tampa. as far as a car quest i dont believe we have those down here and whats listed is pretty much what i can get im not against ordering though any goo place you could recomend ordering duragloss from? also collinite 845 would be better than the 476? thanks for the warm welcome and the help thus far!
