New logo, whadda ya think?

I am always tinkering with logos for my business, I mean ALWAYS, and I have been brainstorming and came up with this one that will be for my new business cards and perhaps on some T-shirts.

Please let me know your thoughts or any suggestions. I am also re-doing my website so the chrome lettering will also be on my splash page.

Thanks,

Anthony

Anthony...

I would do the reflection of the lettering in a "mirror image".

Looking good!

I like the font. Like Gonzo0903, I'd be interested to see how the lettering-reflection would look as a mirror instead of a distant "shadow."

I love the overall shape of the car, but two other thoughts about it.

1. The faux-shininess reminds me of that "bad guy" in Terminator II. It's a little too fake instead of shiny.

2. What's wrong with the tires? Are they flat? There's something weird about how they're flattened on the bottom instead of round.

3. And what's with all those oil leaks under the car? Is this meant to be a Jag? :lol

Overall, though, I really think it's a very good look! :up

Lynn,

You crack me up:D

The car is of an actual Porsche picture I detailed and the chrome effect is added as a layer to the car. I see what you mean by the tires and will try to work it with a different background color.

Scott,

Yeah I was told before it may need some color added to it and will tweak with that later. This is what will be on my nexy business cards which will be flip ups. So the top part of the car will have this pic on the front and when you open up the card it will then reveal all my services, phone numbers and web address.

I am TRYING to reflect the shadowed letters into the car which would be way cool:cool: but having a tough time with that one:nixweiss I'll also work with a few different fonts. I think I need a font that stands out more in a bolder sense.

Thanks for the input and suggestions:xyxthumbs

Just a thought....

Could you put the reflection (of Ultimate Reflections) on a top view of the car?

but then I'm ...........justadumbarchitect

Biff can you make the same thing for me but with "John's Mobile Auto Detailing"

I certainly could, but I'd like to hold on until Anthony sees it. It is his concept after all, and I don't want to give it away on him.

If he doesn't want to use it or something like it, and if he approves, I will make you what you asked for.

Thanks to all for the great input and advice!!

Biff,

Great lookinglogo and I do in fact have that look, without the chrome effect, on my business cards right now. The Ultimate Reflections are a light blue on a silver background and then rightunderneath is a mirror image of Ultimate Reflections which is then kinda faded.

Great minds do think alike eh? :)

I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how to manipulate the mirrored "Ultimate Reflections" into the side of a car. The car will not be chromed but kept in its original state. I am using Adobe Photoshop 7 and another program for graphics and I am learning as I go along so it's a slow process with much hair pulling!

Please go ahead and make something for John along those lines, no problem with me on my side. Thanks again for the thoughtful gesture, I appreciate that :)

I'll post my progress as I go along.

Sorry to hijack Anthony post but once I saw that chrome logo I had to have it too. I am in the process of changing my business name.

Here's a pic of what I got going for a business card.

John,

No problemo my friend. By the way awesome looking card!

I have always went with folding cards because I have noticed that people will always read the card rather than just look at a regular card and either toss it or bury it in their wallet somewhere.

So if you did a folded card you could put just the car and business name on front then your information on the inside. I think that would look killer, not to mention very professional.

You talk me in to it, the folding business car sounds sweet.

Looks cool, but... (always a but!) Mirror the lettering, lower the car away from the lettering, then smooth the chrome effect on the car so it is very smooth. the image I see here is a little "watery". Ive seen a photoshop filters that pretty much hold the contour of the image, but just change it to a chrome, or watery reflective image. Also, the color suggestion isn't a bad idea. Maybe try washing the text in Red, or the text in chrome, the car in red. Keep at it, it looks good!

Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to include pictures in a private message.

Hope these work for you (the reflection gets a little lost on white, because of the lighting technique as it would in nature because white doesn't reflect well as we all know).
