New Little Detailing Supplies: Pics inside!

I was in Home Depot today and found a couple items that I thought you guys might find useful. Hope they give you some ideas.

I came accross a little interior detailing kit that attaches the 1.25" hose end of my Craftsman vacuum. It will fit any 1.25" vacuum hose. It was $12.97. A little pricey but will be worth it I think.

The kit has baby attachments used to get into vents, crevices, nooks and crannies. It even has an extension to reach farther down like between seats.

The attachments are made of the same tough plastic as the regular size attachments.

Here is the kit:

Here is a crevice attachment on the extension attachment for longer reach like between seats:

A major pet peeve of mine is making multiple trips to take out and put away my supplies. I have a few buckets that I load up with towels, pads, brushes, etc... In order to move everything I can only carry so much stuff. This giant carabiner will help tremendously as I can carry a lot at one time in one hand. It was only a $1.49

Like always, anytime I'm in the basement with my supplies, one of my cats, my little buddy, is always with me sniffing and poking her head around. Here she was sitting patiently in my wash bucket observing the action as I was snapping pics. Normally she's into mischief, sniffing chemicals or batting around my brushes or hose connectors. The other day she ran off with a Mr. Clean Eraser in her mouth! Thought I'd snap a picture!

Those attachments are nice. The Craftsman ones are really to big to be able to get into all the small crevices and such which is alwasy a PITA to deal with. Looks like anopther trip to MD is in order. By the way what dept was that in?

It was in the wet/dry vac aisle. It was attached to one of the clip racks next to all the vacuums and attachments.

The 1.25" Craftsman attachments are small, but these are tiny. So now I have all the 2" attachments, all the 1.25" attachments, and now baby attachments!

Tell us what you think once you've used those attachments. I bought a similar set a year or so ago, thinking as you that they would be quite effective in getting into some of those really small spaces. Well, they do get to those spaces, but the air flow is so restricted that there just really isn't enough suction to do the job I was hoping for. I rarely even bother to get them out anymore.

Let us know how they work. I've got the craftsman set, i bought it like 6 months ago while it was on sale. I think i paid 9.99 for it. I still have not taken them out of the package.

I'll let you guys now how I make out.

Nice find TrueDetailer! I looked for attachments when I bought my new little Craftsman but they didn't have those.

i thought that was a new style of washmitt in the bucket. :lmfao i have a simliar kit and find it very helpful for vents and in the center console area.

I'd hate to admit it, but I have started to eat in my car a bit... Anyways I dropped a piece of Steak for my Taco Bell taco down the seat and can't get it..
So I guess I'll need to buy this to get it!

You can also order the micro tool set from Ridgid that has the 1 7/8 adapter, which is what I did for my Craftsman shop vac...my local Sears didn't have the micro kit for the 1 7/8 hose. I also found a micro tool kit in a rather interesting place....JoAnn's fabric and craft store. It is sold by Husquavarna (? sp) sewing machines for 10.99. The adapter for this allows it to fit all any number of vacuum cleaners because of it graduated diameter and it fit great to my Dyson for vacuuming in small places. It has the same set of tools as the Stinger set but also comes with a couple feet of plastic tubing (about 3/4" external diameter at a guess) that allows a much more flexible reach to the attached tools, especially from upright vacuum cleaners. The adapter is designed for regular vacuum cleaners, not shop vacs, but would allow those who do not own one to adapt their regular vacuum for cleaning the small spaces.

Thanks for the info and the pics. as always you include pics to make thing easier to understand. will have to see if this will fit my Sohp Vac. have to admit the pic of the cat looks like his waiting for a ride in the bucket lol !
