new lake country pads

i was looking to order some red finishing ccs pads and noticed they have a newer foam pad for polishers. anyone used the new ones and have opinions as to if they're actually better than the ccs pads.

I learn the hard way......pads larger then a frisbee and a 20 lb rotary. It all depends on the user on what they preferred.

Yes, They do have a new red pad out...It's called the Kompressor Foam Buffing Pads. They come in white, black , red, purple and Gold. They are really great pads to use.

I used the new Kompressor pads today with a PC DA. In the past I used the Edge 2000 Waffle pads and I have to say that the new LC pads bite better. Used Some M105 with the white, back over again with some M205 on a black. I found that the work took less time and got better results than the Edge pads using Optimum Compund and Optimum Polish. I finally got the "haze" off the car and it looks great!

At least he's learning............

I would agree 100%, pays attention and is doing a great job from were he has started from. I will say it has been fun helping Adam just for the fact he takes what info you give him tries it out till he gets a process down and runs with it. That is so much more rewarding than some that constantly ask questions and try not to help themselves or put forth the effort as Adam has.

Very true Dana, So many folks that I had help and they still ask so many questions. I felt like a Britannia Encyclopedia, it's a rewarding job when someone learns and improves themselves so much that someday they will be helping someone new also, I'll see how Adam is doing at DF.........:D

I purchased the Gold Concours pad and to me it was no softer than a CCS Red pad. I have used it to apply FMJ and I have also used it to apply a couple of different carnuba waxes. I will tell you that it get expensive when I do not use a pad for more than one product. Once the pad is associated with a product, I clean it and place it in a plastic back with a label on it to avoid cross contamination.

There is no need for that. As long as the pad is cleaned properly, you can use it with whatever you want. The only way that you will have cross contamination, is if you don't clean it thoroughly.
