Cleaned up a couple daily drivers today for our customer. We go there weekly to maintain the vehicles, so they are typically easy to clean up.

First up is the G-wagon.

Cleaned up the interior first.

Then did the vacuuming - pumice stone doing it's thing with the dog hair.

Once the interior was cleaned up I moved on the to wash

Foaming the roof - have to clean this thing in pieces since it's so big

On to the side of the beast

Gently cleaning with DD sponge

Rinse and dry

Again starting with the interior - vacuuming

Can't forget the trunk

Cleaning up the windows

Wiping down the interior with some Cockpit Premium

Love this interior - although the gloss black inserts scratch easily if not careful

On to the wheels

DSC00574.jpg

Before - even after a week the wheels can get really dirty

DSC00575.jpg

After - having protection on the wheels helps to clean them up rather easily

DSC00576.jpg

After the wash I give it some spray wax - no washing shots as it was in the sun and I needed keep moving (water spots)

Afters

Now I just have to figure out how to get the stuff back into my car!

Thanks for looking!

Nice job Kody! I must admit though, I've got a platform like yours and at 5'8", I'd still never reach the top of the G wagon even with that platform!

I know! If the platform was only 6 inches higher, at 5'7" I aint reaching much. Roof takes so much times since I'm short.

Hey, I guess that's not so bad after all. Sounds like we're about the same height!

Great work Kody, those G-wagons just scream "BOSS" to me. I love them, though would never drive one lol. The SL ain't shabby either. I bet its nice having some maintenance work like this on such cool cars - the owner obviously appreciates your skills.

Thanks Mike, yes, it's nice having decent cars to work on every week. If I had 10 more customers like this guy I would be a happy detailer.

Nice set up, good and organised, I like it. I noticed in the pics that your foam gun has a much nicer spray pattern than my generic locally acquired foam gun. I would say that it looks like it sprays a "finer and much more uniform mist"? It looks like it allows the foam to stick to the car longer. Mine tends to "sling the foam" and then it just immediately runs down the panels onto the ground. If I'm not fast enough it is almost gone by the time I get to the other side of large vehicles. Maybe it's just getting warn out, it's two years old... What kind are you using?

don't see many g-wagons. that one looks pretty sweet.

It's definitely a nice ride, since it's the AMG it's even nicer.

Thank you. The fox cannon is the one from Autogeek, it has always worked great for us.
