Hey, new here to the site, and relatively new to detailing... hope to learn a lot!
I own a couple cars, and really wasn't into detailing, other than just washing... until a few months ago when i entered my first car show... and WOW. the cars there looked sooooooooo much better than mine that i had to start looking into detailing products and techniques!
Since then, I've learned a bit. Some techniques i've never heard of or considered. Some terms and "lingo"... It's been a whirlwind, but oh so fun! I quickly learned that the "effect" that has always bugged me about my paint is the spider or cobwebs...
and i hope to either do something about it myself someday, or find a pro that can handle it eventually.
I currently use an assortment of Mothers products... including the Ultimate Wax System (which i am very disappointed in BTW) and a bunch of other care products like the clay bar kit, wheel cleaner, tire shine, leather care stuff blah blah blah...
I also have used some Meguiar's OTC stuff in the past... Ultimate Quik Wax and Ultimate Quik Detailer... as well as Tech Wax 2.0 on my girlfriend's car.
I have some unused stuff. Meg's Cleaner Wax i bought for my white daily driver. (never got around to using it) and some AutoGlym HD wax i saw at Walmart. (Haven't tried it... yet)
Anyway, I look forward to being as active here as i can, and learning as much as people are willing to teach me!
