New here from NC

I am in NC. I have neglected my cars for too long. One car will be paid off soon (2006 Saturn Vue) and the other temporary car will be going bye bye within the next 6 months (2005 Cadillac STS).

I just purchased a load of products from Autogeek. I plan on detailing at least one of the cars of the long weekend. Between the Saturn and the next car I get, I will not be purchasing another car until my daughter turns 16 (10+ years away) and maybe not then either. Therefore, I need to start maintaining my cars far more than I have been. Mechanically, there are no issues with the cars. Visually, the cars look like poo. 3-4 trips to the automatic car wash place does nothing other than displace dirt.

Products purchased based on recommendations I have read here and other places:

1. Porter Cable 7424XP

2. Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish

3. Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover

4. DP Poli-coat Paint Sealant

5. DP Xtreme Foam Foam Formula

6. Pinnacle Foam Gun (looks manly and daughter will enjoy squirting the cars)

7. 3x pads (swirls, polish, and sealant variants)

8. Some MF towels

9. Pinnacle Clay kit

I have MF wash mit, tire brushes, tire cleaner, and tire shine.

This is my first detailing experience and hope it goes well. I will be watching many videos before the weekend on tips and tricks to the process. I hope all goes well.

No, I am not a State fan. That is my wife. Even if I graduated from there, I could not like their sports. At best, they are looking at the bottom 3rd in every single major sport. It is more depressing than watching my school: FSU

Couple other Raleigh people here. I know right where EC is. My sister is on the OBX and works out of EC.

My hope is to get my wife's red Saturn Vue and my Cadillac STS detailed this weekend. Because it is my first time and all stuff just shipped, I will probably only get one done.

Ha! Neither am I.

Be patient. It can take time to do it so break it up over several days in the garage.
