New Guy from Hotlanta.....Hello Autopia!

I thought I would stop by and say hello. I just got into "serious" car detailing last February when I bought a Black 2006 Ford Mustang GT. After lurking mainly on Bryan Burnworth's forum "The Big Show" (and some on here too) I knew I wanted to get my car detailed by a professional (No Hacks)...or, learn to do it myself.

Well, with enough reading, note taking and purchases... I finally attempted my first detail about 1 month ago on my Mustang (right after some PDR hail damage repair on the hood and other various spots). Poor car has taken a beating.....

Over the next several weeks, I hope to tell more of my story about my detail, post pics and share 2 other details I've done thus far and learn from everyone here. I was really inspired by Bryan's work to get into serious car detailing, so I'm looking forward to learning from everyone so I can take the best possible care of not only my car, but others as well.

Looking forward a part of this community and learning from everyone!

Welcome Joe. Can't wait to see some pics, especially after PDR from the hail...always wondered how well it would turn out; and to see it on black would be the perfect way to tell. Maybe I will see you fly by me on 85 the next couple of days...My wife and I are leaving tomorrow to visit a friend there in Buford. We will be there all week, so hopefully the weather will be nice; especially for the Stone Mtn. Laser show. My wife has never seen it, but I have a few times...

Good choice Joe, nothing beats learning how to do something yo-self, and you'll know it's just how you want it done.

Street5927 - Enjoy Atlanta. Looks like we'll be under 90 for the first time in roughly 50 days straight. :shocked I've never been to the Laser Show...I need to get over there.

It's hard to capture hail damage on photos, but when I get the chance, I'll post the before and after ones that I have. I was a big skeptic of what they could do, but I couldn't find a one when I got the car back.

Everyone else - Thanks for the kind words and the warm welcome. I hope to get the pics up soon.
