New guy from Canada, starting a business

Hey everyone.

I've now spent about 3 hours reading on this site, and I feel like I haven't even scratched the surface of all the things I need to learn about auto detailing.

I have applied to a program called Summer Company. Basically the government will give me $1500 to start up a business for the summer, and another $1500 when summer is over if I follow all the rules of the program (submit bank statements, report cash flow, attend meetings etc). I've always been anal about keeping my car clean, so when my brother suggested I apply for the program (he did it last year) I figured what the hell.

Anyways, I will probably be using this site for most of my learning, and I am sure I will be asking many questions along the way.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

If you're in southern Ontario, you may want to check out my detailing seminar in April. The response has been pretty good so I think it will be a free event, just a small cost for food and drinks.

Welcome and good luck with the program. You'll learn a lot from reading here and have fun too. By the time it gets warmer here you'll have a good grasp on what you'll want to use products and tool wise. Looking forward to your posts in the future.

Hey, ya that actually sounds good. I'm 30 mins north of Toronto, in Richmond Hill. I for sure want to check that out, you have more details?
