What everone else said! lol. No, seriously. This is a great website, it's layed back, very helpful and kind people here. I'm sure you will find alot of information helpful and anytime you need some advise or need to confirm any thoughts you may have don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for the welcomes guys!!! I bought my 04 Tahoe new last Sept and have been trying to keep the new look. I have clay barred it once using Mothers and then followed with a Meguiars Gold Class Paint Cleaner and then Gold Class Polish. I had used Mothers Wax. I have since veered away from Mothers wax....I tried out NXT and was not a fan as it seemed to fade rather quickly. I now use Zymol cleaner wax and love it!! The Tahoe is soon to get another clay bar treatment. My wheels have only been getting Hot Wheels cleaner and hand washed with car wash soap and water. Here are a few after shots. Let me know what you think.

Just got one and used it on the last wax (which was over two months ago). The Zymol seems to last a real long time and I only have to wash it every weekend.

Awesome. You migth look into poorboys producs. There SSR polishes are great. They will really bring out the clarity and wetness in your paint. Any poorboys stuff is great really. You cant go wrong with it. Remember is your buying from the sponser sites they usually offer a discount.

check out chemicalguys.com, they also have great products = ). Last you a life time if you're only detailing your car.

Welcome and you have a great looking Tahoe. I'd also check out some of the other products from other sponsors. I've had great results using the DP products from Autogeek. I'm partial to your colour, as it looks the same as the paint on my Malibu. What did they call it in 2004?

Paul

That color is a Sport Red Metallic. The dealer said that it only comes with the Z71s but I think they have changed that up....don't see many cars with that color out there though!!

Hi JennaBear,

Great looking Tahoe you have. We have a 2000 Tahoe (two tone Blue & Silver). The hardest part to keeping it clean is the roof height. I recently acquired this work platform:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t..._2/103-5437237-0015836?v=glance&s=hi&n=507846

It is a bit pricey and there are less expensive platforms that will work. I like this one because it has a 500 lb capacity which allows my wife and I to get on it at the same time. It is nice to stand comfortably and clean all around the roof rack.

I've used NXT and liked the look it gave as it darkens the blue a bit but without a garage, durability became an issue so I went back to Liquid Glass. It really makes the blue pop.

I hear ya on the roof....it is a PITA to get the roof but thankfully I am 5'9" and I also have use of my nerf bars and rear bumper! :)

I feel the need to take care of the Tahoe since it was my first big purchase!! Come to find out I enjoy spending time washing and waxing it but best of all is seeing the end result!
