New G35

I was messing with my camera the other day and found these pics. I had forgotten I even took them. Anyway, it's a brand new G35 sedan. It didn't take long at all as it had less than 2K on the clock, and I think they had owned it for a week prior to having me detail it. No amazing saves or incredible turnaround here, but the car is very nice so I thought it deserved a C&B post.

No befores...Like I said, it's brand new.

Thanks guys. This was probably the easiest detail I've ever done. They brought it to me washed (water ban prohibits me from doing it in the driveway) and the car was near perfect. Roswell Infiniti didnt hack this one up as I have come to expect from dealers.

The funniest thing about this car is that the owner (my next door neighbor) has only had black cars for years. He's also the type that has kinda always gravitated toward base models with no options. I detailed and handled the sale of their 04 Camry for them and then they began searching. Again, looking at the new Camry and new Accord (the car prior to the 04 camry was an accord). When he opened the garage and I saw this car my jaw about hit the floor.

As far as the car goes...I took it out for a run on the highway just short of triple digits and it felt very solid. No high speed cornering tests, but at normal daily speeds it seems to handle pretty well. It's quiet and comfortable and I am a fan of the looks. The controls are pretty easy and pretty well laid out IMO.

My mom just got rid of her 07 X with all options.

It runs up to 130 no problem, as I easily found out taking a road trip from Chicago to Indy

Handling wise: it's great... pretty neutral. Very sticky laterally, some feelings of razor sharpness. can easily get the tail out. I could easily slide it sideways through an intersection (with no traffic around), or doing a U-turn that is not too sharp. My only complaint: When attempting a tight U-turn, the car pushes very hard under a lot of throttle (of course, in a RWD model, it would be tail happy). It really is a toss up between the new 335i and the G. Riding in my friends 335i, it definitely had more grunt down low (idle to 4000 rpm). Up top, the cars feel very similar in terms of speed. I prefer the handling of the G over the 335, along with most other aspects (e.g. seating position). She traded it in for a N/A 2007 V70. :aww:

The radio nav console in the g35x are really cool. Nice job on the finish, I didnt know they flake like that

I wish I was a better photographer, so I could really capture it. It was seriously flakey.

After owning a 04 G sedan and also an 07 G sport sedan (wife recently traded down to save money) the Infinitis are great cars for the money.
