I would love to see a tech comparison on this vs the MasterBlaster as far as CFM air movement and speed coming out of the wand.


I also agree this could be even better if there was a shoulder strap. I might be looking to sell the MB for this.


Maybe I need this to do a true side by side comparison. #DetailingProblems.
 
Seems to be much more lightweight and compact than the Metro. Can't wait to check it out at Detail Fest !!!!

ha! I had this idea in my head and just never took the time to build it. Exactly what I had imagined! That's awesome!

Still a steep price but may be well worth it. Time to start saving!
 
Sure not gonna trade my AirWand for that, but it'd be OK for the drying I do with the air compressor if that weren't available.
 
For the money this isn't a bad way to go. Think it will be way more efficient for drying larger panels than an air compressor. The compressor method is only decent around emblems, cracks, etc. With the 20% discount this is a very nice and affordable alternative to the metro blaster.

I agree 100% about the limitations of the compressor!

I just question whether the nozzles for this thing are all that much better. I tried some wet/dry vac nozzles in place of my AirWand and they didn't cut it for me. Eh, subjective stuff, this...
 
These dryers are one tool I feel I can't justify the price of. It may be because the water hardness around here is just so tough it would still water spot. But I'd rather just sheet then dry with a towel. I'll use an air compressor for panel gaps and mirrors/taillights and such. But maybe I'm missing something. If I could mount it with a super flexible 50' hose or so that would be awesome. Dream garage right there, mounted dryer/shop vac/air compressor.
 
Honestly, I never use my Master Blaster. But, I always use the SideKick. I use it all the time. This seems like a good compromise between the two. The MB is too heavy, noisy,and is impossible to maneuver in a single car garage.

Ah, then there ya go! Sounds like a good comparison test for somebody to do. Guess I'd better shut up lest sombody suggests that *I* do it!

And yeah, I realize that I sound like *such* a fanboy for the AirWand :o Maybe it's because I put so much into getting the hang of it rather than writing it off when it didn't impress me at first.. I was thinking of this thread yesterday when I used it and the compressor to dry the A8, and yeah I simply love how well it works for me.

Has anyone used this yet? any reviews out there? i could not find any yet and i really want one of these, just don't know if it'll be better than an electric leaf blower ( which works pretty good for those maintenance washes on already sealed/waxed cars).
