New detailing chair!

Sizzle Chest

Been seeing these all over on social media...bit the bullet and decided to pick one up and give it a shot. Pricey, super solid/well built. Comfortable. HEAVY! Need to add a locking wheel, as it will tend to roll on ya if you leave it along on an uneven surface, also will add the protection (or make my own) for the back of the chair as well as the foot rest. Solid chair.

Last two pics of my old chair I used to use and the Vyper chair.

I`ve come just short of pulling the trigger on the Viper for several years. Can you tell me how high the seat goes? I need a tall chair.

As far as adding "protection" to the round foot rest ring, Sizzle Chest, you might find that water heater pipe foam tubing insulation may fit that bill perfectly. I am guessing it is about 1" in diameter.
Did not see the back, but in a pinch, duct taping a sponge or something similar to it may fit that.
I have used an old tube sock pulled over odd shaped pieces as a temporary guard or protective covering if need be. Just another "Red Neck" solution to a problem...

Thanks Lonnie, I was thinking maybe a pool noodle or similar for the back piece, or I have some roll bar tubing cover I could use. The water heater pipe insulation sounds like it would fit the bill for the foot rest perfectly! Thanks!

Do you find it more comfortable than your old seat? I have the same seat as your old seat and I love it for comfort, but it is tough to get close to things as you can`t tuck your feet and legs to your side as if you were kneeling because the seat parts so big.

It is much more ergonomic and you back is much more supported, so it is comfortable. Also the padding is super thick which is nice.

I also found my old seat comfy as well!
