I am a firm believer in the longevity of the final LSP is in the prep to get there. Since my LSP is usually 476S or 885 using the prep material from the same manufacturer would seem to be the obvious choice.
Just FWIW, I, OTOH, have only found the underlying prep product(s) to be a factor in a handful of cases. My best "too good to be true" (in some people`s opinions) longevity experiences have mostly been with an underlying product 1) from another manufacturer, and 2) that some thought would/could cause issues. (The significant exception being the Klasse twins, I`ve *NEVER* used KSG except over KAIO).
I`m sure not disagreeing with davidc, let alone arguing with him, just mentioning another of those !YMMV! things I`ve experienced.
